District Awards

Trailblazer Award
• This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort
toward the advancement of scouting over the past year.

Fellowship Award
• This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort
towards the advancement of scouting over the past three to five years.

District Award of Merit
• This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort
toward the advancement of scouting over the past seven to ten years. This is the
highest award that can be presented on the district level. There is a form used
to nominate someone for this award.

All nominations must be submitted in writing and signed by the nominator to the
scout office or emailed to the District Executive. Please keep in mind that an
individual can receive each award only once during their lifetime. Award will be
presented at the District Banquet for each district.

Leader Training Awards and nominations for District Award of Merit must use the
correct forms. Please ensure that all appropriate unit signatures are on Training
Award forms. Only one Training Award form per leader can be submitted and
must be registered in the position for that award.

Neusiok District (Johnston County) – send to Stefan Spruill at
stefan.spruill@scouting.org no later than November 6.

Torhunta District (Wayne County) – send to Sarah Fernandez at
sarah.fernandez@scouting.org no later than November 6.
